Vintage silk scarf 60 ‘s signed Pierre Balmain Paris, measuring 78 x 74 cm (30.7 x 29.1 in).
The design features oversized flowers in soft, powdery shades — sky blue, blush pink, golden yellow, and moss green — rendered in a painterly, pastel-like style. The overall effect is gentle, artistic, and timeless.
Framed with a rose and ivory border, this scarf perfectly embodies the refined creativity of the Balmain house. A rare piece, ideal for collectors or to elevate both classic and modern outfits.

Pierre Balmain (1914–1982) was one of the great French couturiers of the 20th century.
Born in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in the French Alps, he first studied architecture before turning to fashion. He began his career at Lucien Lelong, working alongside Christian Dior and Hubert de Givenchy, before founding his own fashion house in Paris in 1945.
Balmain quickly gained fame for his refined and structured style, which he described as “Jolie Madame”: feminine silhouettes, cinched waists, elegant gowns, and sophisticated suits that captivated high society around the world. His clients included Ava Gardner, Brigitte Bardot, Katharine Hepburn, Queen Sirikit of Thailand, and Marlene Dietrich.
