Rare French silk commemorative carré, entirely hand-rolled, depicting the great leaders of the Catholic and Royal Army during the Vendée Wars (1793-1796).
On an ivory background framed in royal blue, the center shows the French royal coat of arms (blue shield with three golden fleurs-de-lys, royal crown and laurel/oak branches), inscribed “Armée Catholique et Royale – Vendée • Bretagne”.
